Hometown: Davis, CA
Favorite Quote: “Know what you are doing. Love what you are doing. And believe in what you are doing.” – Will Rogers
What is one goal that you’re currently working on? I’m going to stand up paddle across Lake Tahoe. I know the view from the shore is great, it’s bound to be incredible from the middle!
What do you want to be when you grow up? Well traveled & well rounded.
Three things you can’t live without: Joe, Louie, and hot sauce.
Beach, mountains, or big city, and why? Beach! Whether it’s lakeside or coastal, I am always happiest by the water.
Favorite guilty pleasure: Naps, but I’d hardly call it guilty. #noshameinmygame
Describe the music in your class: I’m always on the hunt for a clear, heavy beat.
Who has influenced you the most? Brene Brown. She researches courage, shame, and vulnerability – pretty badass, if you ask me.
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their life? Leave the country. travel, feel small and stay curious – I try to take at least 2 trips each year: one to ground myself in what’s comfortable, and one to challenge what I know.
Who are your top 3 musical artists of all time? Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, and Odesza
Describe your class: My class is ALL about connection, community, and elevating one another. I love a good heavy hill or jog, and will just as quick work to help you feel free in every single sprint. When the room is loud I get goosebumps, and when the room is dark I feel most alive. I care less about what we’re doing & more about how each person feels in the work. At the end of your 45, I want you to leave feeling empowered to live as the biggest version of yourself.
Why TEAMride? I love the work, the music, and most of all the community. I grew up as a team sport athlete and wholeheartedly believe that we are our best when we’re surrounded by others striving to be their best, too. It starts with the individual, and it reaches the whole community. That’s what we’ve built at TEAMride, and that’s what keeps me here. I am better because the people around me help me live & play as the biggest version of myself.
How do you want to feel when you’re 100 years old? Grateful. always.
What’s the most useful thing you own? My car. I’d love to live without it, but it’s the only way I get to call Davis home while still doing what I love for work in Sacramento.
If you were a character added to a TV show, which show would you join? I’d want to ride shotgun in an episode of No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain – does that count?
What was the best invention in the last 50 years? Metal straws. I keep one in my bag every day – working hard to break up with plastic in my life.
What is one thing you ALWAYS have in your fridge/pantry? Salsa. I’m the kind of person who buys multiple jars at once, and forgets about the multiple jars already in the fridge at home.
Would you rather time travel to the past or the future? I would LOVE to take a mini time hop back to college for a week. I’d eat lots of CoHo breakfast burritos, ride my bike all over campus, get my butt kicked in practice at Schaal, and take some serious naps between (or during?) classes. Go Ags!
