Ah, yeah. I do actually. I remember how intimidated I was to be honest. It was M&Es Tuesday 6:30pm class out of all classes. The room was full of insane energy. Not one bike was empty, in fact I remember we rolled in 2 bikes (1 was mama Katnik!) I knew after that I wanted to be a part of this community on a more consistent basis. It wasn’t until about a year in when Michelle complimented me on my ride one evening and asked if I would ever be interested in instructor training that had been approaching. I remember waking up that following morning with butterflies thinking, yeah.. I want to do this. I want to be an instructor here.
Gosh it’s a multitude of things, really. But the best part is showing up for the people… for my riders. Seeing repeat riders week after week is the biggest compliment I could get. It just validates the heart I put into it! Oh, and the sweaty high fives after class. 🙂
Right now, “bom diggy” by Zack Knight and Jasmine Walia. Download it, it does not disappoint!
PM rides. I was always a PM rider before I became an instructor. There is something special about ending my day with a ride—completely letting go of the days madness and emptying out the tank!
I’ve picked yoga back up which I am really enjoying these days.
Gosh.. just one? 🙂 I am maniacal about writing the next days “todo’s” and 3 goals I want to hit either at work or personally, every night before I sleep. Oh and both my work and personal phones must be fully charged at all times! I have chargers everywhere!
I am either at my house catching up with chores, laundry etc. or catching up with friends/family over a cup of coffee at Camelia inside of the Warehouse Artist Lofts. It’s one of my favorite spots in town.
When my girl Stef Kushida and I team taught. We had not shared a podium since training and it just brought back all of the memories, sweat, and tears that brought us both to that very moment. It was such an incredible feeling.
Let go of whatever day you have had and remember that it’s 45 minutes of YOU time. Enjoy the music, enjoy the energy circulating in the room and just have fun. We are all here to support your best life, I mean ride. 🙂
